A Stormy Night on the Mountain....
Everything seemed just fine weathewise when we decided to call it a night. Then, without warning at 1:30 a.m., the extreme winds and rain arrived from the south. We both flew out of bed, put on our coats and hats and rushed out to shut off the wind turbine. It took quite awhile to do it because the winds just wouldn't let up.
You definitely don't want to put the brake on when it's spinning like crazy.
By morning everything had quieted down except for the rain and our mountaintop was shrouded with clouds. I decided this would be a good day to stay home and knit.
I finished my grandson's socks and hat for his winter church camp and I think he'll be pleased. His best friend Tanner, is also going, so I'm just finishing up a hat for him also.
Then I can get back to cranking out more socks and working on the design that I told you about ages ago.
